I'd recommend making the static tag names bold, or putting colons after them. Though I'd consider it kind of silly to use darkening or brightening of text in this way - this probably is not a fix for all themes, because text grayscale value is often very finely tuned against the background color depending on contrast, and something as simple as this 25% value shift can make the tags still illegible on low contrast themes. The effect is preserved and works right on dark themes. Light ? color.lighter(125) : color.darker(125)) Summary_label_tColor(QPalette::WindowText, If you use WIndowText in both places, and just dim the text color for either direction:Ĭonst QColor color = palette().color(QPalette::WindowText) (ie, going from a value of, say, 25 * 1.25 is still only 31). Objects were painted digitally and then run through a process of special effects and filter manipulation of image, the end result was this unique looking design concept. This digital image was created using the Graphic Arts Program Paint Shop Pro. As a result, in a dark theme, making it 25% brighter means it is still really dark. A Great Background for Clementine Music Player. It is inspired by Amarok 1.4, focusing on a fast and easy-to-use interface for searching and playing your music. Clementine is a multi-platform music player. I think the issue is that it is using QPalette::Darker, which is only meant to be a 3d depth contrast color for buttons. Clementine is a modern music player and library organizer.
THEMES FOR CLEMENTINE PLAYER PATCH
I can prepare the patch on just this window, and if I had time I could look around some of the other weaknesses of Clementine on dark themes (volume slider color, etc) and see if the same problem occurs all over.

I don't have anything running OSX or Windows, so I can't tell if it has an impact on those systems. In casual testing, it is not like it makes the Label editable and the scaling works fine for me on two systems, and it works as expected under a light theme (text color inherits right). I don't actually know what it does, but if it were removed or disabled for all the elements using it text colors in the track information pane would work on dark themes. In the screenshot, I compiled master with that property removed for the "Length" QLabel, but for the others (BPM, Bit rate, etc) it is still present, and as you can see its enablement means that text colors are not properly inherited. I looked for documentation on what QLabel::field_label is, but I didn't find anything.

Here is a screenshot of the edit tag dialog, with the issue highlighted in my kdevelop session. If some property called field_label is set on QLabels in the edittagdialog, they don't properly inherit the theme text color, so on dark themes the text stays black and becomes illegible.
